PYROCO2 showcased at IFIB 2026 in Rome
PYROCO2 was presented at IFIB 2026: the International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy, held on 1–2 October 2026 at WeGil in Rome, Italy.
The event brought together stakeholders from industry, research, policy and investment to exchange on the latest developments in industrial biotechnology and the bioeconomy, while creating opportunities for new collaborations and partnerships.
Representing PNO Innovation Italy, project partner and leader of PYROCO2’s exploitation, replication and communication activities, Anna Franciosini brought PYROCO2 to the event through both a dedicated project poster and her presentation.
The participation provided an opportunity to showcase PYROCO2’s innovative approach to turning industrial CO₂ emissions into valuable products through biotechnology and catalysis, while highlighting the project’s progress towards large-scale demonstration and its potential for future replication and market uptake.
IFIB 2026 also offered a valuable setting to connect PYROCO2 with the wider European bioeconomy community and exchange with stakeholders working to bring sustainable industrial solutions closer to the market.
